Only 33 minutes on the field were enough for Christian Volpato to show that he is a great talent that Roma should be proud of.

Last night in the duel with Verona, Volpato scored the key goal for 2-1 in the 88th minute, and he also had an assist for 3-1. At 18 years and 350 days, he is the youngest Roma player who had both a goal and an assist in the same match.

“The boss called me to enter the game, I didn’t even have time to warm up. I’m happy that I had an impact on the match, Mourinho told me that I was very lucky,” said Volpato, for whom this was his sixth appearance for the first team.

Volpato is of Australian origin, grew up in Sydney, and moved to Italy two years ago. Roma spotted him at a tournament in Malaysia. His contract with VolĨica runs until 2026, and in the agency that represents him, the main agent is Francesco Totti, the greatest in the history of the club from Rome.
