Real Madrid’s Brazilian striker believes that fans who come to the stadium to racially abuse others should be punished for life.

Vinicius Junior was the victim of a racist scandal this season. The Brazilian was insulted by Atletico Madrid fans in the recent derby.

A few tens of minutes before the Madrid derby at the Wanda Metropolitano, about a hundred Atlético fans sang a disgusting song before entering the stands. “You’re a monkey, Vinnie, you’re a monkey,” they allegedly chanted and sang.

“It’s hard to say that racism in stadiums will end soon. There are too many such people, but I would like to believe that there are good and bad people,” said the player himself and added:

“Any such behavior should be severely punished. These Atletico Madrid fans should never be in a stadium again. It should hit them hard and make them reconsider their behavior. If you hurt others, you have to face the consequences”, said the Brazilian

Atlético and La Liga have condemned the abuse of the Brazilian forward, and Atlético said they were working with authorities to identify the perpetrators. The prosecutor’s office in Madrid is also investigating the case.

Vinicius was also insulted by the president of the association of Spanish football agents, Pedro Castro, who in a TV show severely criticized his way of celebrating goals.

“If you score a goal and then dance the samba, go to the Sambodrome. “On the field, you have to respect your colleagues and stop behaving like a monkey,” Castro said in the show.
