The Premier League strikers with the best shot conversion rate so far this season have been revealed and it makes for a surprising ranking.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s form has dropped significantly at the start of the new season.

His shot conversion rate has dropped from 16 per cent last season to just five in 2022/23.

Ronaldo has struggled in front of goal so far this season

This prompted SunSport to take a look at where the Portuguese legend ranks amongst other Premier League strikers when it comes to their chances in front of goal.
And now we can reveal that Ronaldo’s conversion rate of five per cent places him in 53rd place, having scored just one goal from 22 shots.

A host of lesser-known strikers are higher on the list than the Man United man, including Southampton’s Adam Armstrong, Everton’s Alex Iwobi and Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey.

Haaland is the Premier League’s top scorer with 17 goals

It is worth noting that those included in the statistics must have had five or more hits in the league this season.

With that being said, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is the name everyone assumes has topped the list.
The 22-year-old Norwegian boasts a conversion rate of 36 percent thanks to 17 goals from 47 shots.

But, incredibly, he is in second place, while the list below shows who is first.
