Ten days before the release of the book “Messi vs. Ronaldo: One Rivalry, Two Greatest in History,” parts of the book have begun to appear that will make fans of the Portuguese want to buy this work.
Ronaldo is considered one of the best footballers of all time and although he is 37 years old, he is not thinking of ending his career yet and for his critics he has one trump card that he always carries in his pocket.
The Sun tabloid reveals an excerpt from the book in which Sporting Lisbon’s fitness coach, Carlos Bruno, speaks.
Bruno explains that during the preparations at Real Madrid a few years ago, a discussion began about who is the better footballer, Ronaldo or Messi. In those moments, the Portuguese, who was then a member of the Royal Club, took out a piece of paper from his pocket and decided to show everyone what was written on it.
“He pulled a piece of paper from his pocket that had all his career accomplishments written on it.” Everything he won with the clubs, but also on an individual level. When he showed it, he briefly said: It’s not bad, is it?! It’s nothing new for him, it’s just an additional motivation and that’s why he’s done such great things in his career,” reveals Bruno in the book.
In his career, Ronaldo won five Golden Balls for the best player in the world, and only Lionel Messi has more than him, seven.
