“Contract renewal? Bring me a pen,” Arsenal star: I don’t care about money

Arsenal is having a fantastic moment in the Premier League where the main credit is undoubtedly the stars of the team who are giving fantastic performances turning into the main protagonists this season. One of them is Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian has scored five goals and also provided two assists in 12 matches in the Premier League. The striker is a regular starter at Arsenal, but what is worrying about him is his contract which expires in the summer of 2024.

Talks between the club leaders and the player have started to find a common language, while the agreement does not contain any problems, since only Martinelli has stated that he only needs a pen to sign.

“I am very happy at Arsenal, I have said this many times. This is my club. I love being here, I love the city, the club and everything about Arsenal. I want to stay. I am very happy and I only need a pen to sign. When I found out that Arsenal wanted to buy me, it was one of the happiest days of my life.”

The Brazilian was also teased about his salary. At the moment he earns just £70,000 a week, a scary disparity with the financial benefits of other stars in the Premier League, but this issue is not a problem at all for the 21-year-old.

“I seriously don’t care. I want to stay. My aim is to score in the next challenge and help the team to win”, said Martinelli.
